INGREDIENTS:
BREAD DOUGH
4 cups flour
¾ cups sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
20g butter
1 ½ cup warm water
1 tsp yeast
Toppings
Mozzarella cheese
2 green bell pepper
Sausages
PROCEDURE:
1) Firstly, chop the green bell peppers and sausages into smaller chunks. Set this aside for
later.
2) In a large bowl, sift 4 cups of flour and add all the dry ingredients as stated in the
measurements.
3) Now, add 20g of butter and 1 ½ cups of water or milk.
4) Combine all the ingredients together. Once the mixture is too stiff to mix with a spatula,
transfer it to a well-floured countertop. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes or, until the
dough is smooth and elastic. Add more flour if the dough is still sticky.
5) Shape the dough into a ball-like shape and place it in a large bowl and cover it with a
large cloth. Ensure the bowl is completely covered with cloth with zero possibility of air
escaping.
6) Place the covered dough in a warm place and leave it to rise for an hour.
7) After an hour, take the dough out of the covered bowl (by now it would have risen) and
punch down on the dough. Cut the dough into chunks large enough for a small sized
round shaped bread.
8) Roll the cut out dough into a small round shape (big enough to place fillings on). Ensure
the dough is rolled flat.
9) Lay parchment paper on your baking pan and arrange all the rolled out bread dough.
10) On each dough, firstly apply a generous amount of grated mozzarella cheese, chopped
sausages and finally the chopped green bell peppers.
11) Preheat the oven to 200 ̊ F for 20 minutes. After this time, place the baking tray into the
oven and allow this to bake for 25 – 30 minutes in an oven at 300 to 350 degrees
Fahrenheit.
