PANCAKE BURGER

PANCAKE BURGER

A unique twist on the typical burger which uses homemade pancakes in the place of bread. A sweet and savoury dish like no other.

INGREDIENTS:

● 2 cups pancake batter

● 400g minced meat

● 3 eggs

● 2 sticks butter

● 2 tbsp chicken seasoning

● 1 tbsp black pepper

● 1 tbsp garlic powder

● 1 tbsp onion powder

● 1 tbsp chilli flakes

● 2 tbsp mayonnaise

● Cream of choice

● 100g lettuce

● 1 cup oil

PROCEDURE:

1)  Place the minced beef in a large bowl and season it with black pepper, chicken seasoning, onion, garlic powder, chilli flakes and mayonnaise. Finally break 2 eggs into the bowl of minced meat and combine everything together. Ensure the minced meat absorbs all the ingredients and that all the flavours are incorporated into it.

2) Using a burger press, place some minced beef into each plate of the burger press and press down until you have a perfectly round shaped patty.

3) Heat up some oil in a pan and fry the beef patties until both sides are brown and well done.

4) Take the burger off heat and in another pan, heat up half a stick of butter and pour some pancake batter onto the pan. When the air bubbles begin to show, flip the pancake onto the other side. Do this until you’ve used up all the pancake batter.

5) Fry 1 egg sunny side up. To do this, simply break an egg directly into the pan and leave it on the lowest heat. When the first side is done, gently flip it onto the other side.

6) Pick and rinse the lettuce for the burger.

7) Place a single pancake on a plate and place a single beef patty on top of the pancake. Spread some cream over the beef patty then place a single lettuce over it. Finally place a pancake over the lettuce and your pancake burger is ready.

8) Repeat these steps until you’ve used up all your pancakes and beef patties. Serve it and enjoy!
