CRISPY SHRIMP

A unique crispy shrimp recipe that incorporates sweet and savoury flavours with the help of pancake batter and other spices.

INGREDIENTS:

● 400g shrimp

● 1 tbsp garlic powder

● 1 tsp black pepper

● 1 cup pancake batter

● 1 cup crushed cornflakes

● 2 cups oil

PROCEDURE:

1)  Rinse the shrimp, dry it and pour it in a bowl.

2) In the bowl, add a tablespoon of garlic and a teaspoon of black pepper. Ensure the spices are well incorporated into the shrimps.

3) Set forth two more bowls, one for the pancake batter and the other for the crushed cornflakes. The bowl with the crushed cornflakes, should be a wide sort of plate bowl. After this heat up 2 cups of oil that will be used for frying.

4) Dip each shrimp into the pancake batter, then coat it with the crushed cornflakes. Repeat this step until you have exhausted all of your shrimp. Proceed to fry the shrimp on low to medium heat and turn the shrimps occasionally, so they don’t burn. The shrimps can also be baked rather than fried.
